What we offer
Our students who attend Chickadees, Randburg get the tools and support they need from our team of passionate educators for their healthy development. All activities are carefully designed to nurture the emotional, intellectual and physical growth of our students. Through stimulating activities and hands-on learning opportunities, children are free to develop into bright young minds. Our preschool provides top quality affordable educations and play.
Infants
We offer a day care for infants starting from 3 months in our baby center, with a dedicated carer & assistant.
Toddlers
We provide a full day of fun and learning in a secure, friendly and stimulating environment.
Pre School
An approved CAPS curriculum provides the development of motor abilities, thinking skill and healthy interactions with their peers.

About us
Our Philosophy
Located in the heart of Randburg, off Rabie Street, close to major routes and less than 10 minuets drive from surrounding areas - Randpark, Randpark Ridge, Cresta, Linden, Northcliff, Olivedale, Ferndale, Boskruin, Blairgowrie, Parkhurst, North Riding and Robinhill. At Chickadees we want children learn by experimentation, exploration, and collaboration. Teachers and their assistance tie the work they do in the classroom to real-world experiences and lessons. They play with materials that inspire creative thinking , such as paint, noodles and string that develop each child's fine motor skills and sensory abilities. Blocks, puzzles and element walls to develop problem solving abilities and fantasy/pretend play which assist in developing each childs social skills and build their confidence. Children work independently and with their peers. The teacher serves as a guide, supporting and assisting their students.

Computer Classes
At Chickadees we believe it is important to equip our students with the skills needed to use and manipulate technology in the ever changing and fast moving world that they are growing up in. An understanding of how technology can be used, and how it is changing, is an essential skill for the 21st century child and is at no extra cost.
For students aged 3 to 6 years old.
Class is offered once per week.
French Classes
French is a popular language world wide and our French class offers our students the opportunity to learn a new language, gain exposure to other cultures and enhance pronunciation and vocal ability.
For students aged 3 to 6 years old.
Class is offered once per week.
Lunch
Meals are prepared fresh daily with a wide selection of fruits and vegetables to ensure our students receive all the nutrition they need to grow into healthy children. A dietitian visits the school regularly to ensure all students are well nourished.
For students aged 6 months to 6 years.
Meals and snacks are served 4 times per day.
Swimming
Swimming is a basic life skill and at Chickadees we provide lessons at no extra charge to ensure all our students have had exposure to water safety awareness.
For students aged 1 to 6 years old.
Once per week during the summer months.
Holiday care
Chickadees remains open during school holidays with a fun filled holiday program in place at no extra charge to existing students.
For students aged 3 months to 6 years old.
During all mid year holidays - Excluding December.
